José Alvarado moved from his native Honduras to Yonkers in 1982, he arrived having had only minimal exposure to a formal education and the English language.

We write this candidate spotlight from the Yonkers Insider Report to document and discuss Jose Alvarado, Democrat running for Westchester County Legislator in the 17th District.

He has a record of Leadership, Accomplishment and being active in the Community of Yonkers and Westchester County.

As a Former Westchester County Legislator, he has the qualifications and credentials to return back to the Westchester County Legislature with his experience and hitting the ground running and he doesn’t need on the job training for the job, because Jose has done this job in the past as a former Westchester County Legislator.

We are so lucky to have Jose Alvarado seek to return to public life for the betterment of our City of Yonkers and County of Westchester.

Jose has a grasp of the issues that matter in Yonkers and Westchester County, that what is needed for this seat, someone with the experience on doing the job to deliver for Southwest Yonkers and also our City of Yonkers and County of Westchester
